On 11 February 2012 a function to celebrate the birth of our Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is being organized. This haraam, bid’ah function has been dubbed Mawlud Jalsah’. With regard to innovations and the introduction of alien and un-Islamic practices into the Deen, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“The worst of acts are innovations, and every bid’ah (innovation) is dhalaalah
(manifest deviation).”
Let us begin with Indonesia right on the eastern side of the earth's central land mass. Indonesia consists of numerous small islands, the principle ones amongst them being Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Saibil, all of which are well known. It is the largest country in the world, with 180 million inhabitants. The number of non-Muslims here is negligible.
A Serpent
Commenting on the world, Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thaanvi (rahmatullah alayh) said: “Our Hadhrat Haaji Saheb (Hadhrat Imdaadullah, the Shaikh of Maulana Thaanvi - rahmatullah alayh) presented a wonderful similitude of the world. He said that the world is a serpent. Only he who knows the charm of subduing the serpent should take hold of it. We who are unaware of this charm, should remain aloof from it, for it will bite us. There is an imperative need to remain extremely alert is this worldly abode of trial and sorrow. The slightest carelessness results in the serpent’s strike.
A REMEDY
Recite Surah Faatihah three times, blow on a glass of water and give it to the disobedient child to drink. Do this often.

A MILLION ATOMIC BOMBS
ACCORDING TO Enzo Boschi, the head of Italy’s National Geophysics Institute, the earthquake under the ocean which caused the massive tidal wave had the power of a million atomic bombs, the "size of those dropped o¬n Japan during the second world war."
He said that the shaking was so powerful that it disturbed the rotation of the earth. The earthquake of a ’million atomic bombs’ was unleashed by Allah Ta’la as a warning to mankind, especially for Muslims. The devastation was therefore spread over a wide areas.
A FEARFUL EPISODE
Jurham was the name of the very first Arab tribe which settled in Makkah during the childhood of Hadhrat Ismaaeel (alayhis salaam). At that time the city of Makkah had not yet developed. In this tribe was an evil woman by the name of Naa-ilah and an evil man whose name was Asaaf.
A DANGEROUS CONCLUSION
In the aftermath of the collapse and dismantling of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, supporters of the Islamic Taliban government o¬n account of the heartfelt agony and grief which overcame them, presented a variety of excuses so as to provide balm for their grieving hearts. Undoubtedly, it is not easy for sincere Muslims who believed that the Taliban stood for true Islam , to come to terms with the humiliating defeat of the Taliban.
