A MILLION ATOMIC BOMBS

ACCORDING TO Enzo Boschi, the head of Italy’s National Geophysics Institute, the earthquake under the ocean which caused the massive tidal wave had the power of a million atomic bombs, the "size of those dropped o¬n Japan during the second world war."

He said that the shaking was so powerful that it disturbed the rotation of the earth. The earthquake of a ’million atomic bombs’ was unleashed by Allah Ta’la as a warning to mankind, especially for Muslims. The devastation was therefore spread over a wide areas.

A MAN OF ALLAH

Hadhrat Shaqeeq Balkhi (rahmatullah alayh) said:

"If you wish to recognize a man of Allah, then look at his attitude to promises does he generally ignore the promises of Allah and has he reliance o¬n the promises of people."

If his reliance is o¬n the promises of Allah, not o¬n the promises of people, he is a man of Allah.

A Letter on Taqleed

The following is part of a letter the Mujlisul Ulama wrote to a brother who queried the Islamic concept of Taqleed.

(1) It should be remembered that the senior Imaam, namely, Imaam Abu Hanifah was in touch with Sahaabah. He had acquired their Islamic knowledge from Sahaabah as well as from numerous such senior Scholars who had studied under the Sahaabah. Thus, he were in close proximity to the age of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

A LESSON FOR MUSLIMS

The following fearful episode was narrated by Hakimul Ummat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (rahmatullah alayh):

In a town not far from Thanabovan (where Hakimul Ummat lived) a prominent Muslim member of parliament became very ill. Doctors had given up hope. There was a very pious hakeem (physician) in Thanabovan. For some reason he had refused to attend to the sick MP. Some relatives of the indisposed man asked Hadhrat Thanvi to request the hakeem to attend to the sick MP.

A GOLDEN RULE

Never submit to the obstinacy of your child regardless of his tantrums. To submit to his obstinacy and complying with his desires is to ruin him forever. Remember this. This is a golden rule.
